Jacqueline Vance, RN, C. CDONA/LTC, Executive Director
Jacqueline Vance is a board certified Gerontological Registered Nurse and a certified Director of Nursing in LTC and is Director of Clinical Affairs and Industry Relations for the American Medical Directors Association. Ms Vance is a recipient of several LTC awards, including the National Nurse Administrator of the Year Award/Long-Term Care. She is actively involved in her mission to improve the quality of care that seniors receive throughout the nation. Ms Vance is a national presenter on educational topics focused on improving care for the elderly, and has authored multiple articles and manuals on that theme.
Anne Marie Barnett, RN, President
Ms. Barnett is currently the President of Maryland NADONA/LTC and has many years of experience as a Director of Nursing. Her career in healthcare started in 1967 as a Nursing Assistant. In addition to Nursing, she spent several years as an Addictions Counselor. Ms. Barnett authors the "Ask the Expert" column in McKnights Long Term Care Newsletter and was recognized as National Nursing Administrator of the Year by NADONA/LTC in 2005.
Robin Arnicar, RNC, CDONA/LTC, Vice President
Robin Arnicar is currently the Vice-President of Maryland NADONA/LTC, and is an active Director of Nursing at Renassance Gardens in Silver Sping, MD. She has been in LTC nursing for 23 years and a Director of Nursing for the past 14 years. Robin is on the Board of Directors the National Association as well. She was honored in 2007 as the NADONA Nursing Administrator of the Year for both the Northeast region and was the Overall National recipient. She serves on many other committees and has numerous activities geared toward the advancement of excellence and leadership in LTC. In her spare time she works as a consultant in LTC litigation.
Terry Meininger, RN, CDONA/LTC, Recording Secretary
Terry is currently the Secretary of Maryland NADONA/LTC and has many years of experience as a Director of Nursing. Her career in healthcare started in 1977 as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant, then onto LPN, RN, ADON and then DON. She was recognized as MD NADONA/LTC Outstanding Member of the Year in 2007.
Joanne Shafik, RNC, MSN, Treasurer
Joanne is currently the Treasurer of the Maryland Chapter Nadona LTC and has also served as co-chair of past educational/banquet programs. She is currently employed as part-time Systems Leader/MDS at Longview Nursing Home in Manchester, Md. Her career in healthcare combines both progressive management positions over 13 yrs in LTC and 15 yrs as a Nurse Consultant in the LTC pharmacy industry. She is past recipient of the Maryland Nadona Member of the Year Award (2003).
